What we think about BetterPic Headshot Generator
When we tested BetterPic, we found it to be a mixed experience for professional headshot creation. While BetterPic does upfront communicate that not every generated image will perfectly resemble you, we were still let down by how few actually captured a recognizable likeness. One of our biggest concerns was that BetterPic consistently added more facial lines and wrinkles than what appears in real life across roughly half of the generated images. This aging effect significantly impacted the overall quality of results.
The tool also produced several unusable images that included unwanted elements like hands that clearly weren't from the original photos, or inappropriate clothing choices that showed too much skin. These issues reduced the number of viable headshots we could actually consider using. BetterPic takes approximately 50 minutes to complete the generation process, which is reasonable for this type of AI processing.
However, BetterPic does offer some standout features that we appreciated. The clothing color customization option is excellent, especially for users who have specific brand colors or preferences they need to match. The variety of background sceneries and locations adds nice versatility to the final images. With the Pro plan, you get access to three different style combinations that include location, clothing style, and color options.
The user interface for reviewing generated images works like a dating app - you can swipe right to save images you like and swipe left to discard ones you don't want. BetterPic also includes an AI editing feature for Pro users that lets you modify images through text prompts, which performed surprisingly well during our testing. Despite these positive features, the fundamental issue remains that the generated headshots often don't capture the person's true appearance or essence compared to other tools in this category.
